More CHA Inspiration

Hello friends!
Today I wanted to share a few more photos from my recent trip to Chicago for CHA!
One of the lines that I was most anxious to get was the Togetherness line by Cosmo Cricket!
Here is a photo from the Cosmo Cricket Booth showing ATC cards created using the Togetherness line.
I  can happily say this was the first line to arrive at the scrapbook store where I work! I am going to have fun playing with this line!

Another booth that I was excited to find was the Crafty Secrets booth. They sell beautiful vintage style stamps, stickers and creative scraps!

One of our blog friends, Julie of A Vintage Chic, is on their design team and I was excited to go see her lovely work in person!

One of my favorite displays at the show was from Melissa Frances. This beautiful old green door was so pretty!

This Halloween Mannequin from the Girls Paperie booth was very inspiring!

The Graphic 45 booth was amazing, definitely the best, very detailed and lots of lovely altered projects!

Most of my photos were taken on this one side because every afternoon of the show, Graphic 45 would have a giveaway. I had to be one of the first 10 people in line to be a part of it. So every day I would stand in line for about 2 hours by their booth so that I could win a full paper pack from one of their newest collections.
One of their new lines is called, Steampunk Debutante. It's a very cool victorian line filled with clock faces and gears. So all the employees at the booth were dressed in cool victorian costumes!

After the CHA Trade show was over we headed across the convention center, where they had another area ready for us to set up a booth for the CHA Super Show which was open to the public. It was an exhausting 2 days filled with doing make n takes and demos!
I was teaching this lady how to use alcohol inks on pill bottles to create lovely needle cases, when I had my picture taken unknown by me!

Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing my trip! I've been so busy creating since I've been back!
I will have lots to show soon!

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

More Photos From CHA

Hello friends!
Today I wanted to share photos that I took of the incredible Tim Holtz and his amazing work!
Here he is showing demos of his newest products. He is VERY hard to get to see up close, as he always has quite a crowd around his table. I watched him for about 2 hours and managed to get closer.

He is so much fun to watch and very inspiring! Very kind too! I manged to get a small signed ATC from him along with all the other ladies at his table.

Here are photos taken at his Ideaology booth. Tim Holtz has products in several different booth because of his collaboration with other companies.
This cool old cart belongs to Tim, which he purchased just for this display and it held vintage glass ornaments.

These next 2 photos are of neat projects created by Tim's design team.

I love Tim's new deep shadow boxes! I can't wait to make one!

These were tags created by Tim for the Stampers Anonymous booth, where they carry Tim's amazing stamp line!

Thank you for visiting us today!

I still have lots more photos of inspiring ideas to share with you soon!

Wishing you a crafty day, Lindsey

My Exciting News!!!

Hello Friends!
Today I have exciting news to share!!!
I am going to be October Afternoon's Guest Designer for September!!!!!!
Yippee!! October Afternoon is one of my favorite scrapbook companies! Their soft vintage style is so perfectly me!
Just look at this photo below from their new Modern Homemaker line!

When I was at CHA, I couldn't wait to get to their booth! And let me tell you, it was magical! Oh, how happy looking at paper can make me!  : )
I loved their displays, especially this big modern homemaker!

On our second day at the show, my boss wanted to show the wonderful people from October Afternoon one of my mini books and they asked me if I wanted to be a Guest Designer. I could hardly believe it! Most of the photos I took after that were blurry, because I was shaking so much with nervous excitement!
Being a Guest Designer means that I will make several projects using their lovely new paper and they will share them on their blog throughout the month of September and also a questionaire filled out by me on their blog

I am in love with the Modern Homemaker paper line! I knew when I saw the sneak peeks, that Modern Homemaker would be my favorite collection from the show!
I loved looking at these samples created by their design team.

Another great new release is by October Afternoon is Seaside. I'm not really the beach type, but this paper is too cute and so much fun to work with!

Campfire is another sweet new release from October Afternoon!

I love my October Afternoon paper so much that I do find myself wanting to hoard it and save it! Here is a photo I took of several of my favorite October Afternoon collections!

I am hard at work right now, creating projects to share for the month of September on the October Afternoon blog! Please stop by their blog and visit during the month of September to see my work on their blog!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, Lindsey

My Trip to CHA!!

Hello friends!
Last week was the Summer Craft and Hobby Trade Show in Chicago and I was lucky enough to get the chance to go!
As you may know I work for a scrapbook store. Twice a year the owner goes to CHA to order paper lines for Fall and Winter. After the Trade show we set up a booth at the Super Show that is available to the public!
On our first day in Chicago we took a boat tour along the Navy Pier. Chicago was amazing place!

As fun as it was to explore the city, I couldn't wait to get to the show! I took over 600 photos at the show of many amazing projects and layouts!
Our first stop was the Maya Road booth. This company sells embellishments. Mostly chipboard books, ribbon and trinkets.
Here are a few projects that I loved!!

Most booths offered make n takes, which are quick mini projects that can be created in a couple of minutes using the company's new products.
I love this sewing machine banner!

Graphic 45 is one of my most favorite companies! Their new Halloween in Wonderland is awesome!! It's a beautiful combination of Alice in Wonderland illustrations and Halloween whimsy!

Their booth was amazing!!! But more amazing was the wonderful people from Graphic 45! I was lucky enough to be introduced to several members of the Graphic 45 team! I brought my Bathing Beauties mini album that I recently shared on the blog to show them and they asked me if they could display it on the counter throughout the day!!!!! I was so honored and thrilled that they liked my book! And it was so cool to go by the booth and see others looking at it and taking it's picture!!!!!!

Another exciting stop was to see a few of the many amazing Tim Holtz samples using his new die cuts.

This display by Pink Paislee was breathtaking!!!
I can't wait to start playing with all my newest ideas! I feel very inspired!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these first pictures of my trip! I will continue to share more photos of my adventure this week!!

Happy Crafting, Lindsey
