Halloween Cigar Box

Hello friends!
Here is a project I created last summer.
It's a cigar box that I altered and added a wooden house piece to the top.
The house was found at my local craft store and wooden cigar boxes can easily be picked up at cigar shops or antique shops/thrift stores.

I used Graphic 45's Happy Haunting paper line. Cutting out lots of small pieces and layering over this box.

In each of the 4 corners I've added cut out stand ups to give this a more 3d effect.

I just adored this paper line! Such fun to work with. It's been awhile since I created an altered project and this was a lot of fun!

Here's a couple close ups of the box.
I removed the hardware to adhere the paper across the front of the box, and reattached it later.

For the inside of the box,
I decorated the lid and created a mini album to fit inside.

This album was so chunky, it just barely fit!

The antique style of this paper line was so easy to work with! I just loved the polka dots and spiders paper!

If you have any scrappy/crafty questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I am getting ready to spend this weekend at a scrapbooking retreat!
I've been busy packing this week, getting my craft room slightly more organized!!

Halloween Mini Album

Hello friends!
Well, the holiday season is almost upon us. Especially for us crafters!
I started making Halloween themed mini albums to get in Holiday mood.

For this album I used Authentique's Enchanted paper line mixed with a few stickers and die cuts from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor line.

I pulled out my favorite Martha Stewart spider web
punches and started creating.

At Michaels, I found a few fun Halloween stickers by K & Company. This layered sticker that says creepy was part of a fun set of border stickers, as well as the glittered title that I used on the front of the album.

I also used brown ink to brush across a few of the light orange
roses to give them a more aged and distressed look.

Sweet Girly Mini Album

Hello friends!

A cute mini album to share with you today!

I created this album using Echo Park's For The Record 2 Tailored collection.

I just loved the colors! All the pinks and reds together is on of my favorite combinations!!

I pulled out my favorite Martha Stewart Border Lace punches and lots of flowers to dress up this album.

I also found these lovely butterfly stickers by Petaloo with beaded details to add more whimsy to the album.

This deep edge lace punch by Martha Stewart is quickly becoming one of my favorites!!!

Valentine Mini Album

Hello friends!
I made this Valentine mini album earlier this year.

I used Bo Bunny's Love Letter collection and added some vintage style images to the album.

Played with some fun washi tape to add borders to the edges of my pages.

This line was so sweet. I loved the colors and feel of it.

Valentine is such a fun holiday to craft for, but it comes way to quickly after Christmas! I'm hoping I carve out a little more time next year for Valentine crafting.

Here is a vintage Valentine from my collection! I love how bright and cheerful it is!

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

Farm Fresh Mini Album

Hello friends!
When I saw this sweet farm themed paper line by October Afternoon
I fell in love. The colors and the style are so adorable and yummy
I couldn't wait to use it. So far I have made a  mini album with this collection.

I wanted this album to have a good old country home feel to it.

The cherry patterned paper was definitely one of my favorites! And mason jars are one of cutest trends right now.

Layering my books and adding lots of kraft colored cardstock
 really made this album pop.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my latest album!

Wishing you a wonderful day,
Lindsey

Cowgirl Mini Album

Hello friends!
When I spotted this Prairie Chic collection by Bo Bunny I just knew I had to make an album with it. For this one I decided to make it into a chipboard album.
I used the 6x6 album by Farmhouse Paper company that you can find at Hobby Lobby.

What I wasn't expecting was how chunky this book would end up being.
It also has quite a few more pages than my paperbag albums.
This is as closed as it gets!

This was a super fun album to make. The cute shabby chic style and patterns with fun cowgirl accents really made for a fun combination.

As always, I added lots of flowers. I also added glittered chipboard swirls and little bits of washi tape throughout the album.

I couldn't believe how this book grew
as I added more and more pages. Luckily the paper line was full of so many fun graphics and patterns to make this album layered and full.

If you are interested in purchasing this album or would like to see more pages from it, you can find it listed on ebay!

Vintage Style Summer Tags

Hello friends!
I was playing around in my craft room the other night and created this set of tags.
I was going with a vintage beach theme.

I used a really dreamy paper line called The Pier by Crate Paper. I printed vintage graphics that I found on Pinterest to add that extra vintage touch!

I started out with #8 tags which are 3 x 6 1/4 tags
and inked them using Distress Inks.

I also dyed seam binding with Distress Stain to coordinate with the tags.

A fun project! I love making these little works of art!

Wishing you a beautiful day, Lindsey
