Autumn Wishes Altered Cigar Box

Hello friends,

I found an old cigar box at a flea market the other day and took it home to alter. I needed to make a display piece for the store using this new Pink Paislee Amber Road paper.

I enjoyed cutting out the cherry blossom tree which was a lot easier then it looks! Really! I then inked it in my favorite color of Distress Ink by Tim Holtz, Vintage Photo.

I added a flower with a little key charm in the center that we sell at the store. I happened upon a cute keyhole by Melissa Frances to add to the front of my box.

Products: Pink Paislee's Amber Road, Melissa Frances' Keyhole, Prima flower, Making Memories Bling and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.

  1. Just breathtaking, Lindsey! I have always loved decorating cigar boxes (when I was a child). I haven't had access to a box for years since we quit having kids and passing out cigars (HA!)My fave cigar box was in Vacation Bible School when I was probably 7, we glued macaroni on a box and the teacher sprayed it gold. It was a jewelry box for our Mothers. Thanks for bringing up good memories. Love your color choices and the key and lock features.
    Blessings, Sarita

  2. Very fallish! The key on the flower looks great! I love cutting out things- even if it's hard. ♥

  5. Lovely. You have done a beautiful job and so creative. I have decorated a beer carrying container. It was so much fun. I did a bird and bird nest motif.
